Corfu boasts a wide variety of beaches for every preference. Some are busy and fully organised while others are remote, some are sandy while others are pebbly and some are only accessible by boat. On the southwest side of the island you will find Glyfada, Kontogialos, Halikounas, Benitses and St. Gordis whose common features are their golden sand beaches and the crystal clear blue water. Glyfada is particularly popular thanks to its organisation and its proximity to the town centre.

On the north side of the island there is Acharavi, a well-known tourist resort with a beautiful beach and Sidari, a cosmopolitan coastal community. In the North East of the island, there’s Ipsos beach which is fully organised and with deep blue waters. Further on you will find Nisaki a picturesque, rocky coast, Kerasia where the magical estate of the Rothschilds is located and last but not least Avlaki, an idyllic, sandy bay.

Palaiokastritsa is found on the northwest of the island and is famous for its natural beauty and its cold waters. It consists of six bays which are covered in both sand and small pebbles. The main beach is fully organised and is surrounded by restaurants which offer excellent local cuisine and views. South of Corfu, there are also other beaches worthy of visiting such as Kavos and Issos.
